Join the Community Democratic Club in Vallejo on Saturday, June 2nd for a "Blue Wave Mixer" and Candidate Forum, which will include Solano County Sheriff and Judge candidates, as well as your very own Nils Palsson for US Congress. On Sunday, May 27, from 5-7pm, the beautiful Jen Tough Gallery in the historic Benicia Arsenal will be hosting a grassroots meet-and-greet, fundraiser and campaign gathering in support of Nils Palsson for Congress. The event will feature light refreshments, great music, and a Q&A with the candidate. And since we'll be at an art gallery, there will also be a beautiful art exhibit on display! On Monday, May 14, Nils will be speaking with the Oakmont Progressives in Santa Rosa about his campaign for social, racial, environmental and economic justice for all. Also addressing the community will be Sonoma County Sheriff candidate John Mutz. The meeting begins at 7pm, but folks will begin gathering socially at 6:30pm. On Saturday, May 5th (Cinco de Mayo!), Nils will be offering a lecture on "Community Resilience and Political Revolution" at Sonoma State University's historic Rachel Carson Hall.
Nils will be giving a 1-hour presentation on his journey as a local community organizer, working in the Transition Towns movement to build local resilience and ultimately becoming Communications Director at the national nonprofit Transition US - and a candidate for United States House of Representatives!
This event is open only to SSU students enrolled in the "Work and the Global Future" class, but there is space for a limited number of friends and local volunteers to join this event.
