Greetings, Loved Ones!

As we approach the holiday season and I continue to go about this life-integration process — with an oncologist meeting today and just over a month until my next scan — I wanted to take this opportunity to issue a whole slew of gold stars by publishing a humble tribute to some of the authors and literary works that have had a major impact on my life so far.

Like most of us, I am a living mashup of the literature, music, and other forms of media and pop culture that have influenced the man I’m ever-becoming. I’ve been inspired by more amazing work than I could possibly acknowledge. But I’m aware that a part of my job in this world, as I integrate my life, is to share my experiences (including the powerful art and writing I’ve interacted with) — so I’m doing my best to heed the call.

In the spirit of honoring the work that moves me, I’ve begun to curate a bookstore here on my website. I've highlighted some favorites here in this post, and there are many more offerings at nilspalsson.org/bookstore
